I’m all set to go to both CES 2022 in Las Vegas January 5th-8th and the SPIE AR/VR/MR Conference January 23rd-25th and have started booking meeting times. I primarily attend these shows to see with my own eyes AR technology. Still, I also make some time to meet up with fans of my blog (usually, I have the most availability on the first and last day of the conferences).
At CES, I spend most of my time in and near the LVCC South Hall and the AR/VR exhibits. I also make a point to go to the Tech West (Formerly Sands plus Venetian) several times. This year, I plan on going to Tech South (Aria) on Thursday the 6th in the afternoon.
At the SPIE AR/VR/MR conference, I spend most of my time viewing the presentations. This convention typically has an excellent set of presentations. The Expo part of this show it small but concentrated on AR/VR/MR, and you can see and talk with people that know the technology.
If you would like to schedule a meeting with me at CES 2022, please send an email to:

I look forward to seeing technology and meeting people in person again.
Will you check out the Vuzix booth? Curious to see what they’re up to and why Cathie Wood & Ark Invest have been loading up on their shares over the past year.
I always stop by the Vuzix booth at CES and usually have a meeting with Paul Travers.
May i ask did you check with Kura?

They claim this near perfect spec, and said will be commercially available late summer this year…

Wondering what’s your thoughts?

I think they are being, to put it mildly, wildly optimistic. I also think there are some fundamental flaws with their concept.
In the end, I didn’t get to go to CES but SadlItsBradley did and got to “see” the Kura “demo” (queued up at https://youtu.be/S0heZVN5NCs?t=1350). The “demo” turned out to be an application that “simulates” the experience on a cell phone. All and all, not very convincing. Kura did get a “CES Award,” which tells you more about the quality of these awards and the products to which they give the awards.
